Several Lakers were recognized for their hard work in the field of agriculture during the day 1 session of the virtual Ohio FFA Convention. Members watched the presentation on the big screen in the ILHS Auditorium.
ILHS/OHP FFA members Cheyenne Hill, Tori Blanks, Allix Cotterman, Kayla Cummins, Allison Culp, Ethan Knief, Luke Jackson and Ethan Snapp (pictured front to back left to right) each officially received their FFA State Degree, alongside more than 700 other FFA members from across Ohio. Congratulations on your hard work!!
On Day 2 of the FFA Convention, several Lakers earned special recognition.
Sophomore Allison Kinney was honored for placing first in the state in the Poultry Management judging competition, while freshman Ava Shroyer was recognized for her first place finish in the General Livestock judging competition.
Finally, two ILHS alumni received awards for projects they completed last school year. Nikita Schiefele earned first in the state for her Agri-Science Animal Project.
Kaden Harford placed third in the state for his Fiber/Oil Crop Production project and fourth in the state for his Grain Production project.
