Quest Federal Credit Union honored their Teachers of the Year from local school districts with a luncheon and awards ceremony.
The event was held recently at Brewfontaine in Bellefontaine. Quest Federal Credit Union CEO Matt Jennings led the ceremony.
Music teacher Tracey Notestine is the Teacher of the Year from Indian Lake. She was nominated by a parent of a student, saying Notestine gives more and more of her time to kids each year and helps them through academic and personal struggles. This school year, Notestine took over the ILHS Chorale, the ILMS Choir, the ILHS Meistersinger Show Choir and the ILHS Musical Director role with the retirement of Joyce King. She continues to teach at the elementary level as well, where she has spent the past 19 years.
Notestine was very honored to receive the recognition.
"I was very surprised to receive this award. I'm honored to teach at the district from which I graduated and I love being a Laker."
Other teachers recognized included Myles Bowers from Ben Logan, Katie Gallaway from Bellefontaine, and Tyler Hodge from Riverside.
Notestine's family and administrative team accompanied her to the luncheon.
Special thanks to Quest Federal Credit Union honoring our educators!!
